Our Story

About AutoITMap

We built AutoITMap to address the challenge many enterprise IT teams face: gaining clear visibility into their infrastructure, connections, and optimization opportunities.

Transforming IT Landscape Visibility

AutoITMap was founded in Toronto, Canada with a clear purpose: to help reduce the uncertainty that surrounds modern IT environments. Enterprises today operate thousands of interdependent applications, services, and infrastructure components — yet many organisations lack reliable, current documentation of how those components relate to each other.

We believe that IT teams deserve better visibility into their landscape without spending months in manual discovery workshops or maintaining complex spreadsheets. AutoITMap helps automate much of this process — from initial asset discovery to AI-assisted dependency mapping and optimisation recommendations — so your team can focus more on delivery, resilience, and innovation.

Our platform is designed for enterprise scale, integrates with existing tools, and helps keep IT documentation current through continuous monitoring. Whether you are planning a cloud migration, preparing for a compliance audit, or working to resolve incidents more efficiently, AutoITMap aims to provide the insights you need.

The Journey Behind AutoITMap

AutoITMap was born from a shared challenge experienced by enterprise architects and IT leaders across the industry. Our founders, Alexandra Chen and James Okafor, spent years observing organizations struggle with a fundamental problem: difficulty understanding their own IT landscapes.

During their tenure at leading technology companies, they witnessed incidents that might have been prevented, migrations that took longer than expected, and compliance audits that became complex undertakings — often because teams lacked accurate, current documentation of their IT dependencies.

The turning point came during a critical system outage at a Fortune 500 company. What was expected to be a quick fix became an extended crisis because the team couldn't quickly identify which systems would be affected by necessary changes. That experience motivated Alexandra and James to build the solution they wished had existed.

Team collaboration in modern office

Core Values That Drive Us

The principles below guide every product decision, every customer interaction, and every line of code we write.

Accuracy First

We build for precision. Every feature is designed to help provide a more accurate, comprehensive picture of your IT estate.

Seamless Integration

Your existing tools are valuable investments. We focus on deep integration rather than replacement of working systems.

AI That Earns Trust

Our AI is designed to be explainable. Recommendations come with clear reasoning to help your team validate and make informed decisions.

Customer Obsession

We measure our success by the outcomes our customers achieve — focusing on real value rather than just features or metrics.

Continuous Improvement

IT environments evolve constantly, and so do we. We ship improvements continuously based on real-world use and customer feedback.

Security by Design

We apply security-first principles across the platform, from data collection to storage, processing, and presentation.

Innovation Through Advanced Technology

AI-Powered Network Analysis

Our approach to IT landscape documentation takes a different path. While traditional solutions rely on manual processes and static snapshots, AutoITMap leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to help provide dynamic insights.

Our algorithms analyze network traffic patterns, configuration files, and system behaviors to help detect dependencies that might be difficult to discover manually. This AI-assisted approach is designed to help keep documentation more current as your environment evolves.

We've invested in research and development, working with universities and technology partners to advance automated IT discovery and dependency mapping capabilities.

Leadership Team

AutoITMap was founded by enterprise IT architects and AI engineers who spent years observing organisations struggle with inaccurate CMDB data and incomplete dependency maps. Today our team spans engineering, data science, enterprise sales, and customer success, all focused on bringing clarity to complex IT landscapes.
